Frieze, a world-famous art fair, is about to enter Seoul.
Frieze SEOUL is the first international art fair held in Asia by Frieze, one of the world’s top three art fairs, which started in the UK.
This event is the fifth international art fair after Frieze Los Angeles, Frieze New York, Frieze London and Frieze Masters.
Frieze SEOUL will be divided into three sections in Halls C and D on the 3rd floor of COEX, Seoul from September 2 to 5, and will welcome domestic and foreign art lovers for four days.
This Frieze SEOUL is attracting public attention as it is expected that world-famous people from the art world will gather in one place.
In particular, operators of world-famous art museums such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), The Guggenheim Museum, and the Tate (UK) are expected to board plane to Korea
This is why Frieze Seoul is called a barometer that can predict the future of the Korean art market.

During Frieze Seoul period, 110 famous galleries from 21 countries around the world, including world famous galleries Gagosian and Hauser & Worth, are expected to compete for their artworks.
Patrick Lee, director of Frieze Seoul, said at a press conference on the 22nd. “The purpose of holding a frieze is not just to sell the works. We hope that you will receive meaningful inspiration from Frieze Seoul and engage in various exchanges. We are looking at Frieze Seoul from a long-term perspective. Seoul will play an important role in the Asia art market in the future. I hope that Frieze Seoul will become a platform and a place where various communication and relationships are made.”
The three sections of Frieze Seoul are Feeze Main, Freeze Masters and Focus Asia.
In the Main section, major contemporary artworks from around the world will be placed. In the Masters section, major art works from ancient times to the 20th century and In the Focus Asia section, several works by Asian young galleries will be on display.
All sections will be perfectly and wonderfully prepared. Nevertheless, Perhaps the most interesting space will be the main section.
Gagosian, the world's top gallery, will also unpack in the main section. Gagosian will showcase works of some of the best contemporary artists, including Louis Bonnet, Richard Serra, Spencer Sweeney, Mark Tansy, Jonas Wood, Damian Hirst, Gia Eilie, Takashi Murakami, Ed Rusha, and Zeng Panz.

Gallery Hauser & Worth, one of the world's four largest galleries, will showcase works by Louis Bourgeois, Mark Bradford, and George Condo. This booth will be interesting in that you can see both historical and contemporary works at the same time. Among Korean galleries, PKM is listed in this section.
The Freeze Masters section is also expected to be worth seeing.
In this section of 18 galleries, you will see works by masters of modern and contemporary art such as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian and Robert Rauschenberg.
In particular, the booth of Acquabella Gallery can be literally called a page in the history of Western art. In addition, the legendary gallery called ‘Monster Gallery’, Castelli Gallery, will also participate. This gallery's booth will display works from the 1980s by Liechtenstein.
