LEE & BAE is a 10-year-old gallery located in Haeundae, Busan, Korea. The gallery, which is based in an area of 430 square meters with a beautiful landscape in the riverside of Suyeong, organizes exhibitions of different themes every two months. Since its founding in 2010, the primary objective of the gallery has been to promote academic research and exhibitions of Korean contemporary art.
LEE & BAE's focus on Korean contemporary art extends to both established and emerging artists. The gallery works with its represented and contracted artists to organize curated exhibitions and plan academic exchanges. The artists represented by LEE & BAE apply various media in their artworks to emphasize Korea's social and democratic characteristics, documenting various current global views through visual art.
In addition to promoting Korean contemporary art, LEE & BAE is also engaged in exploring the cultural characteristics of Korea through the lens of Asian art history, with the hope of increasing global attention for Korean contemporary art.
LEE & BAE Gallery has been selected for inclusion in international art fairs for many years to promote Korean art. A significant number of artworks by the gallery's represented artists have been included in the collections of major art museums and private collectors.
The gallery is committed to developing international collaboration and exchange of art. Its location in Busan, a city known for its vibrant art scene, adds to its appeal as a hub for promoting Korean contemporary art. LEE & BAE welcomes visitors to their gallery from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:30 and 18:30, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00, and is closed on Sunday and Monday.
