The album's lead track, "Little Light," blends a youthful, energetic band sound with Doyoung's powerful and delicate vocals. Doyoung, who has a background in band music since high school, expressed a natural affinity for this style.

"Youth" features two songs with lyrics penned by Doyoung himself, including the opening track "Beginning," which portrays his journey as a soloist. Reflecting on his songwriting process, Doyoung noted the importance of telling his own story, which he believes contributed to the acceptance of his songs by the company.

In discussing the album's message, Doyoung emphasized the theme of cherishing happy memories amidst the passage of time. He hopes to convey this message to listeners as they navigate their own journeys through youth.
