On Thursday, Blackpink revealed plans to hold an autograph session on August 8 to celebrate the eighth anniversary of their debut.
The event will feature 88 fans selected through a lucky draw, who will have the opportunity to meet the members of the supergroup.
This autograph session will be the first full-group activity for Blackpink since the four members were honored with honorary medals by Britain’s King Charles last November. Following this recognition, the group renewed their contract with YG Entertainment for managing their group activities while pursuing individual projects. Rose signed with The Black Label, and the other members established their own agencies.
In related news, Jisoo has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 1 billion streams on YouTube Music with her single album “ME.” This debut single is the first album by a K-pop female solo artist to reach this milestone on the platform. Released in March of the previous year, it also became the first album by a K-pop female solo artist to sell over a million copies within its first week.
