The organizers, KROSS, announced the decision to move forward with the "K-Pop Masterz×KROSS" concert in a notice posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. Two performances are slated for today at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., featuring artists such as Park Seo-jun, aespa, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor, and &Team. Notably, Nagoya, the concert location, is approximately 250 kilometers (155.3 miles) away from Ishikawa Prefecture, where the earthquake struck.

Emphasizing the safety of participants and artists, KROSS noted the possibility of canceling or postponing the event in the event of an observed earthquake within Aichi Prefecture, where Nagoya is located.

On Monday, a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Ishikawa Prefecture on the western coast of Japan, leading the Japanese government to order over 97,000 people in nine neighboring prefectures to evacuate, as reported by Reuters. Subsequently, the Japan Meteorological Agency detected over 90 aftershocks with a magnitude exceeding 1 as of Tuesday morning.
