마음을 그리는 작가 양예준 어린이는 13살이며 자폐 스펙트럼 장애를 가지고 있습니다. 초등학교 입학 후 끊임없이 연필을 잡고 흔드는 반복행동을 했는데, 이 행동을 고치기 위해서 그림 그리기가 시작 된 것이죠. 양예준 작가의 작품을 보면 정형화된 그림이 아니라는 점에 대해서 응원을 많이 받습니다

벽시계를 하염없이 쳐다봤다고 합니다. 이렇게 쳐다본 시계의 앞모습과 뒷 모습을 종이에 그려 넣었습니다. 그리고 그림 제목에는 늘 그 시계를 관찰한 장소를 써 넣었습니다.

People with developmental disabilities are often born with the ability to construct, express, and completeness. Their disability did not stop them from being creative.
