The win marked Red Star Belgrade's seventh Serbian Cup title, tying them with FK Partizan as the joint winningest team. Additionally, it made Red Star Belgrade the first team to achieve consecutive Serbian Cup and league title victories four times in a row.

Hwang In-beom joined Red Star Belgrade from Olympiacos in September of the previous year and has since played 34 matches, scoring six goals and providing six assists. He made his UEFA Champions League debut against Manchester City in September, recording his first goal and assist in a subsequent match against the same opponent.
Serbian media reports Premier League interest in Hwang, with scouts from Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly attending recent Red Star Belgrade matches. Hwang In-beom, along with countryman Hwang Hee-chan, is a regular pick for the South Korean national team, with 56 and 64 caps respectively.
Hwang In-beom's career has seen multiple moves, including stints in the K League, Major League Soccer with Vancouver Whitecaps, and Russian team Rubin Kazan.
