Founded in 1978 by Eum JoongKu, Wellside Gallery (formerly Gallery Samtuh) has been one of the leading galleries in Korea, presenting modern and contemporary arts to Korean art audiences.
The gallery has held numerous solo exhibitions of significant artists such as Park SeoBo, Yun HyongKeun, Chung ChangSup, Lee KangSo, Lee SeungJio, Son SangKi and Oh SeYeol whose works reflect their lives and philosophies with authenticity and sincerity.
On the other hand, the gallery also endeavored to introduce distinguished international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in Korea, such as Charles Arnoldi from US and aboriginal artists from Australia.
Wellside Gallery has participated in major international art fairs for dacades - including Art Miami, FIAC, Art Toronto, Art Brussels, Art Cologne, Melbourne Art Fair, CIGE (Beijing), HK Art fair (Hong Kong) to introduce some of the important Korean artists in the global art scene.
Within a short period of time, the gallery’s international outlook has firmly gained its fine reputation as one of the premier galleries in Korea . Wellside Gallery will continue to make an effort to discover and promote talented artists at the forefront of international art market.
