B.D.U, the victorious team from Mnet’s vocal-focused TV competition "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival," has made a remarkable debut with their mini album “Wishpool.”

The group, consisting of Bitsaeon, Seunghun, Jay Chang, and Minseo, captivated audiences with their powerful and emotive vocals throughout the program, earning the chance to perform as a project group for two years.

“Our group name B.D.U stands for ‘Boys Define Universe,’ symbolizing how each member’s unique voice and charm will shape our universe,” explained Bitsaeon, the group’s leader.

The mini album "Wishpool" features five tracks, including Korean and English versions of the lead track “My One,” alongside songs like “Everlasting Miracle,” “Forget All,” and “aH-Ooh!”

“The title track ‘My One’ is an uplifting song meant to encourage those facing difficult times. The three characters in the music video represent our fans, and we aimed to express our heartfelt desire to support them whenever they need us,” shared Seunghun.

Pdogg, the exclusive producer for Big Hit Music known for hits like BTS’s “DNA” and “Idol,” composed the lead single and provided detailed guidance to enhance the song’s cool vibe.

“Pdogg gave us specific directions and even coached us on pronunciation to bring out the best in the song,” added Seunghun.

Emphasizing their commitment to vocals and live performances, Bitsaeon highlighted, “As B.D.U, we have pledged to always use handheld microphones and deliver live performances at every stage and event we participate in.”

While three members have previous debut experiences, with Bitsaeon in Mont, Seunghun in CIX, and Jay Chang in One Pact, they expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase new facets of their talent with B.D.U.

The quartet is gearing up for their world tour titled "Tour for Wishpool: Flash & Light," scheduled to kick off in August, covering 24 cities across the US, South America, and Europe, with additional dates in Asia to follow.

“We are all learning English to better communicate with our fans. Through various performances, we aim to enhance the synergy and harmony among the members,” shared Bitsaeon.

Despite their project group status having a timeline, each member expressed a desire to continue together for as long as possible.

“We can’t foresee the future, but we have great chemistry. Our skills complement each other, and our musical tastes align, so we hope to continue as a group for a long time,” expressed Seunghun, with unanimous agreement from the group.

“We aspire to carve out a distinct identity for ourselves. We aim to establish a recognizable team identity so that anyone hearing our music on the street will know it’s us,” added Minseo.
