The Seoul Light DDP 2023 Fall event, held from August 31 to September 10, welcomed a total of 538,000 visitors, averaging 50,000 daily attendees. Organized by the Seoul Design Foundation, this event coincided with Seoul's cultural event season, captivating visitors with immersive media art by renowned artists Miguel Chevalier and Dan Acher. The exhibition made optimal use of the DDP building's curved surface and the sky to showcase high-quality media art.
The event garnered considerable interest, leading to an extension of viewing hours until 11 p.m. on weekends to accommodate the higher-than-expected number of visitors. Notably, the number of foreign visitors increased significantly, underlining the event's appeal on a global scale. The organizers took measures to accommodate the influx of international attendees, doubling the number of foreign service personnel and ensuring all guides and promotional materials were available in English.
