In an age characterized by stunted growth and soaring prices, the smart money of millennials and Gen Z has started eyeing refurbished designs. This inclination not only offers them cost-effective purchases, but also symbolizes their participation in an eco-friendly consumer culture.
Refurbished goods typically include items returned due to a change of mind or products with minor defects, damage to packaging, or stock clearance items that, while fully functional, struggle to find buyers due to aesthetic flaws. These goods are offered at significantly reduced prices.

Under the leadership of CEO Kyung-Don Lee, the Seoul Design Foundation is set to host 'Seoul Design 2023,' a marquee design event, from October 24th to November 2nd. In relation to the event, the Foundation is opening doors for both domestic and international designers and design studios to take part in their refurbished design market.

The refurbished design market offers a collaborative platform where designers can present their slightly flawed or overstocked design products to consumers at discounted rates, enhancing brand visibility in the process. The event will be held in the outdoor space of the DDP from October 24th to November 2nd, with the Foundation offering free sales booths to participants.
