K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty, originally debuting as a quartet with members Keena, Aran, Sio, and Saena in November 2022, is set for a new beginning. Following the departure of Aran, Sio, and Saena, whose exclusive contracts were terminated by Attrakt in October last year due to legal disputes, the group is undergoing a reorganization centered around Keena.

In an official press release on Thursday, Attrakt, the agency representing Fifty Fifty, announced plans to finalize the new lineup in April. The restructured group is expected to release a new single in June, marking a fresh start for Fifty Fifty.

To fill the vacancies, Attrakt conducted its first open audition in Singapore on February 3, attracting around 120 female participants aged at least 14 from Southeast Asia. The agency plans to continue auditions in Korea and Japan. Noteworthy judges for the auditions include David Yong, CEO of Singapore's Evergreen Group Holdings, which is investing approximately 10 billion won ($7.5 million) in Attrakt. Yong, a former K-pop singer who debuted in Korea in 2022, brings valuable industry experience to the panel.

The final audition is scheduled to take place in Thailand on March 2. Meanwhile, Fifty Fifty's single "Cupid" made a noteworthy resurgence on three Billboard charts dated February 10, a year after its initial release. The single claimed the 9th spot on the World Digital Song Sales chart, 15th on the World Album chart, and 197th on the Global 200 Excl US chart. "Cupid" also secured the 44th position on Billboard's annual Hot 100 songs chart in November of the previous year, marking a significant achievement as the first K-pop girl group song to feature on the year-end main singles chart.
