Lee Gil Rae is a modern Korean sculptor widely known for his works produced by oxygen-welding copper pipes under the theme of pine trees.

The artist happened to be fascinated by the regular circular pattern in a pile of copper pipes loaded on a truck and began to use copper pipes as a material for his work.

He expresses the invisible source of vitality by expressing various aspects of pine trees that have been culturally closely utilized in the history of Koreans with copper pipes.

In this exhibition, he will display 106 works, including representative works, at the Savina Museum until April 21.
