For the Year of Rabbit in 2023, you can see many rabbit sculptures and exhibitions in Korea.
2023년 토끼 해를 맞이하여 한국에서는 많은 토끼 조형물과 전시를 볼 수 있습니다.
The National Folk Museum of Korea is organizing the exhibition "Here Comes a Rabbit" to celebrate the Year of Gyemyo (Black Rabbit) and to highlight what the nation's ancestors thought of the long-eared creature and what it symbolizes now.
국립민속박물관은 계묘(검은토끼)의 해를 기념하고 우리 조상들이 귀가 긴 동물에 대해 어떻게 생각했고 그것이 지금 무엇을 상징하는지 조명하기 위해 "토끼가 온다" 전시회를 개최합니다.
 

Over 70 paintings are on display, including "Ssangtodo," a Joseon Dynasty folk painting depicting two affectionate rabbits, and wooden dolls of a rabbit and a turtle depicting a scene from the pansori (solo lyrical opera) work "Sugungga," which comes to mind while thinking of rabbits.
다정한 두 마리 토끼를 그린 조선시대 민화 '쌍토도', 판소리 작품 '수궁가'의 한 장면을 그린 토끼와 거북이 목각 인형 등 70여 점의 그림이 전시되어 있습니다.

The exhibition will be held until March 6th 2023
전시는 2023년 3월 6월 까지 진행됩니다.
 

서울 대공원에서도 토끼를 주제로 한 작품 23점을 볼 수 있습니다.

이 작품들은 성신여자대학교 조소과 재학생과 졸업생이 만든 것 으로 각 팀마다 독특한 시각으로 토끼의 모습을 만들어냈습니다
사람과 토끼가 껴안고 있는 작품, 깡총 뛰어가며 힘차게 나아가는 토끼의 모습, 달 위에 지쳐 누워있는 토끼 등 재밌고 귀여운 작품들을 감상할 수 있습니다.
 

These works were created by students and graduates of Sungshin Women's University's Department of Sculpture, and each team designed a rabbit with a unique perspective.
You can see a person and a rabbit hugging, a rabbit jumping and moving forward energetically, and a rabbit lying exhausted on the moon.

그 외에도 백화점 앞, 월드컵 공원 등 사람이 붐비는 곳에서 토끼를 찾아볼 수 있습니다.
Rabbits can also be found in places with a lot of people, like in front of department stores and World Cup Park. The reason why animals are named each year in Korea is derived from the Chinese zodiac. According to the Chinese Zodiac, we are all born in the year of a powerful animal. This is based on the Luni-Solar calendar, which has deep roots in Chinese philosophy.
