"The Great Gatsby," produced by South Korean producer Shin Chun-soo, is set to open at the Broadway Theatre in New York in March. Following a one-month pre-Broadway run at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey, from October 12 to November 12 last year, Shin's company, the OD Company, decided to bring the musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel to Broadway.

The preview for the Broadway run will commence on March 29, with the official opening scheduled for April 25. Notably, Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, who played the roles of "Jay Gatsby" and "Daisy Buchanan" in the premiere last year, will return to reprise their roles.
The stage production, featuring music and lyrics by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, and a book by Kait Kerrigan, is part of Shin's ambitious endeavor to extend his domestic success to Broadway and beyond. As the sole lead producer, Shin has previously worked on productions such as "Holler If Ya Hear Me" and "Doctor Zhivago."
OD Company's recent original production, "Il Tenoro," set during the Japanese occupation in the 1930s, is currently running in Seoul, receiving positive reviews from both audiences and critics.
In a statement, Shin expressed his aspiration to create a work that expands the understanding and interpretation of the era for modern audiences, aiming for global recognition beyond Korea. The Broadway debut of "The Great Gatsby" is seen as a significant step toward achieving this goal.
