J-Hope, a member of the K-pop supergroup BTS, offered his perspective on music and dance as he prepared for the release of his new solo album on Friday.

In a handwritten letter, J-Hope emphasized the connection between good music and dancing, stating that movement is naturally expressed through the body in response to music. He aimed to convey this message through his upcoming album, "Hope on the Street Vol. 1."

The album consists of six tracks, including "Neuron," "I Wonder...," "I Don't Know," "On the Street (Solo Version)," and a dance remix of "What If...," originally featured on J-Hope's solo album from 2022. He participated in writing and composing all the tracks.

The lead track, "Neuron," pays homage to a dance crew where J-Hope was involved before joining BTS. It features Dynamic Duo's Gaeko and Yoonmirae and is influenced by old-school hip-hop from the 2000s, reflecting J-Hope's musical roots and aspirations for a fresh start.

Collaborations on the album include BTS bandmate Jungkook, K-pop girl group Le Sserafim's Huh Yun-jin, and American producers Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers.

J-Hope, currently serving in his mandatory military service, is set to be discharged in October. Despite his busy schedule, he expressed dedication to the album, which he prepared diligently before enlistment, and gratitude for the support received throughout the process.
