T1 has made a name for itself as one of the most successful esports organizations in the world, having won the League of Legends World Championships in 2013, 2015, and 2016. The team's Korean League of Legends virtuoso, "Faker," also plays as a midlaner for T1. Unlike regular PC bangs, which are internet cafes often used to play PC games, T1 Base Camp offers a range of T1-themed merchandise and is designed to offer a complete esports experience for visitors.

The T1 Base Camp will also be used to host other esports events, including catch-the-fans' interest with eye-catching items. While plans are still under consideration, T1 has indicated that they are looking into offering visitors the chance to receive a special curriculum for pro gamers or esports-related programs. Additionally, the organization is considering visits by Esports Academy coaches to the PC bang to offer talented gamers opportunities to participate in a tryout for T1's reserve team.

T1 Base Camp is set to open on May 13 and is expected to attract esports fans from around the world.
