NewJeans is set to release their first Japanese single, "Supernatural," marking the beginning of the group’s activities in Japan. The single features the title track “Right Now” and its instrumental version, with the music video for “Right Now” released on June 17. The single includes distinctive elements such as a strong introduction, ad-libs by Pharrell Williams, and dynamic synthesizer sounds.
“We are so excited and glad to make our Japanese debut as we’ve waited for a long time. It feels like we are starting a new chapter in Japan,” NewJeans said in a press release on Friday.
The group will commence their Japanese promotions with an appearance on the TV show “Mezamashi TV,” followed by performances on “Music Station,” “with MUSIC,” and “CDTV Live!” among other Japanese television programs.
In addition to their TV appearances, NewJeans will host the “Bunnies Camp 2024” fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome on June 26 and 27. The event will feature performances of over 20 songs, including existing tracks, new releases, and special solo stages.
