Jin, a member of the K-pop group BTS, reconnected with fans at a meet-and-greet event in Seoul on Thursday, just a day after completing his mandatory military service. The event, held at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in southern Seoul, was part of the 2024 BTS Festa, an annual celebration of the band's debut anniversary.

Jin arrived on stage riding a bicycle, reminiscent of his music video for his solo debut single, “The Astronaut,” and opened the event with the song, receiving enthusiastic applause from the 4,000 attendees. During the event, Jin expressed his emotions, noting his excitement and nervousness about returning to the stage.

"This feels like a second debut for me. My hands and face are shaking, and I’m filled with mixed emotions," Jin shared with the audience.

The festival included a special hug session for 1,000 fans who won a raffle, followed by a "fan meeting" during the day. Jin’s participation marked a significant moment as he was the first BTS member to complete his military duty and return to public life.

Jin acknowledged the difficulties of adjusting back to civilian life and requested patience from his fans as he reacclimates. "I was just discharged, so I am still adjusting. Please be patient with me if I make mistakes or my performance isn't perfect," he said. He humorously added, “It’s been hard. Where are my fellow members? I miss them.”

During the event, Jin also discussed his time in the military, mentioning that he had formed bonds with younger servicemen, who referred to him as "Uncle."

Jin concluded the fan meeting by expressing his gratitude and excitement about being back on stage. "I will always be here for you. I will be a constant light for ARMY," he stated, referring to BTS’s dedicated fanbase.
