On Tuesday, local media reported that Hwang Minhyun is slated to commence his mandatory military service on March 21. Pledis Entertainment, the agency representing Hwang, corroborated the information through a statement on a fan community platform. The management firm emphasized the absence of an official event on the enlistment day and requested fans to refrain from visiting either the enlistment site or the location of his alternative service.

Prior to his military duty, the singer and actor is scheduled to host a fan meetup in Seoul from March 8 to 10, where he will offer a preview of his upcoming digital single, "Lullaby." The said single is set for release on March 13.
Hwang Minhyun initiated his career as a member of NU’EST in 2012, transitioning to a solo artist in 2019 with the release of the single "Universe." Following NU’EST's decision to pursue individual paths, he ventured into acting in 2020 and recently completed filming for the drama "Study Group."
