Debuting on January 26 with their first single, "Girls of the Year," VCHA made a notable appearance at the world tour concerts of JYP Entertainment's flagship girl group, Twice, in February. The group is slated to deliver the opening performance for Twice's concert once again on March 16 in Las Vegas.

VCHA, pronounced as bichwo, emerged as a collaborative project between JYP Entertainment and U.S. music giant Republic Records. Comprising six finalists from the "A2K" (America2Korea) girl group audition program held by the two agencies from July to September the previous year, the members—Lexi, Camila, Savanna, Kendall, KG, and Kaylee—are all from the United States. The name VCHA is derived from a Korean term signifying "shine a light."
