The 2026 Paléo Festival has unveiled its official poster, featuring a futuristic design that invites viewers to "dream with open eyes." Created by artist Garance Allely, the poster presents a nocturnal and contemplative world where gentle forms blend seamlessly with vibrant, flamboyant colors. The project stood out for its remarkable ability to create a visual universe that is both soothing and dynamic.
Allely's sensitive approach to graphic design transforms the night into a territory of imagination, offering a unique artistic vision for the renowned festival. Her work represents a fascinating intersection of analog collage techniques and generative creation, developing a practice where human creativity and machine intelligence engage in meaningful dialogue. In this innovative approach, artificial intelligence becomes a creative accomplice rather than a replacement for human artistry.
The artist views AI as a tool for exploration rather than mere production, allowing her to reveal unexpected forms, floating textures, and diffused lighting effects. "My work finds its strength in an experimental approach while maintaining a very personal human touch," Allely explained about her 2026 poster design. "For Paléo, I want to invite the audience to a timeless sensory experience, in contrast with the festival's effervescence. My work explores dreams and gentleness, giving the image a great part of mystery."
This poster selection continues Paléo's two-decade tradition of opening its doors to a new generation of artists by entrusting them with creating the festival's visual identity. The project emerged from a workshop conducted in partnership with BaseDesign agency and students from HEAD Geneva (Haute École d'Art et de Design), offering a unique experience to young creatives. This collaboration provides an exceptional springboard for emerging artists, allowing their work to be showcased across all festival communication materials.
The selected design will appear on everything from the official poster to the visual decoration of the iconic Main Stage, demonstrating Paléo's commitment to supporting up-and-coming talent. This initiative reflects the festival's ongoing dedication to nurturing the next generation of artists and providing them with a prestigious platform to showcase their creative vision to thousands of festival-goers.
