K-pop boy group Ateez released “Golden Hour: Part 1,” its 10th EP, on Friday. This release marks the beginning of the “Golden Hour” series, which follows the group's previous series: “Treasure,” “Fever,” and “The World.”
The new EP features six tracks, led by the title track “Work,” a hip-hop song characterized by groovy sounds and an addictive hook. Group leader Hongjoong contributed to writing the lyrics for the track. The choreography for “Work” was created by J Blaze, a choreographer known for working with artists such as Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.

This release follows Ateez's performance at the Coachella Valley Music Festival, where the group was praised for their powerful performance incorporating traditional Korean elements, including the Korean circle dance “ganggangsulae.”
Ateez is scheduled to perform at Japan’s largest outdoor music festival, Summer Sonic 2024, on August 17-18. The group continues to emphasize their commitment to their music and performances, with member Jongho noting his ongoing vocal lessons even while on world tours.
“We shine brightest when we are performing in front of our fans. We will continue to tell our own story through our albums to come so we can shine in many places around the world,” said Hongjoong.
