Iqbal Singh Gill, a celebrated sculptor from the village of Manuke in Moga, Punjab, has embarked on creating a magnificent statue of Bollywood icon Dharmendra, paying tribute to the legendary actor through his exceptional artistic skills. The renowned artist, who has been perfecting his craft for over two decades, is widely recognized for his extraordinary craftsmanship that has reached audiences not only across India but also in several international destinations.
Gill has established himself as a master sculptor by creating statues of numerous notable personalities throughout his career. His impressive portfolio includes statues of revered figures such as Baba Ladi Shah, the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Sandeep Nangal Ambian, and countless martyred soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. One of his most acclaimed works was a statue of India's former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, which brought him significant recognition and acclaim in the artistic community.
The passionate sculptor shared insights into his artistic journey, revealing that his love for sculpting began during his childhood years. At the young age of 20, he crafted his very first statue of Gautam Buddha, marking the beginning of what would become a lifelong dedication to the art form. Despite managing his farming responsibilities, Gill has consistently pursued his artistic calling with unwavering determination, resulting in hundreds of his handcrafted statues being installed in various locations throughout India and abroad.

Regarding his latest project, Gill explained that the statue of Dharmendra will require approximately one week to complete, during which he will meticulously craft every detail to capture the essence of the beloved Bollywood actor. Once the statue is finished, it will be permanently installed in his art gallery, where he plans to organize a special tribute ceremony to honor the iconic actor who has entertained millions of fans across generations. This latest addition will further enhance his gallery's collection of tributes to individuals who have made significant contributions to Indian culture and entertainment.
