Felix of Stray Kids has delivered a mesmerizing glimpse into the group’s upcoming album HAP(合), raising anticipation for their innovative musical direction. On November 27, Stray Kids unveiled the individual teaser video UNVEIL: TRACK Unfair through their official social media platforms, with Felix taking center stage in a dramatic and visually captivating presentation.
The teaser stood out for its evocative storytelling and artistic direction. Felix is depicted in a variety of striking settings—standing alone in a shadowy expanse, walking through a dense forest, and appearing to float serenely underwater as if submerged in the depths of his own emotions. Inspired by the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, the teaser captures a beastly narrative, with Felix’s expressive eyes and delicate emotional delivery heightening the viewer's immersion.
The new album, HAP(合), is set to introduce a unique musical concept referred to as "SKZHIP TAP," a genre that defies conventional definitions. Much like their previous works, the album showcases Stray Kids’ distinct sound and artistic identity, setting a new benchmark for K-pop innovation.
HAP(合) will feature 12 tracks, all of which highlight the group’s creative versatility. The self-producing team 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) spearheaded the project, with all members contributing to the album’s credits. This collaborative approach ensures each track is infused with the group’s individuality and collective vision.
The title track, Walkin’ On Water, serves as a centerpiece of the album, while other tracks like U, which features Epik High’s Tablo, and Bounce Back, as well as an alternative Hip Version of Walkin’ On Water, add layers to the album’s diverse soundscape.
Additionally, the album includes the formal release of solo tracks from the members' world tour. These include Bang Chan’s Railway, Felix’s Unfair, I.N’s HALLUCINATION, Lee Know’s Youth, Hyunjin’s So Good, Changbin’s ULTRA, Han’s Hold My Hand, and Seungmin’s Slowly, Like That. These tracks offer a personal touch, reflecting each member’s unique artistry and connection with fans.
With this new release, Stray Kids continues to push the boundaries of K-pop, blending experimental sounds with intricate storytelling. The incorporation of solo tracks alongside group efforts provides a comprehensive listening experience, ensuring that fans can connect with the individual artistry of each member while appreciating the group’s collective evolution.
As HAP(合) promises to be another milestone in Stray Kids’ discography, the anticipation for their genre-defying album is at an all-time high. The group’s commitment to originality, paired with their technical prowess and emotional depth, reaffirms their position as trailblazers in the global music scene. Fans worldwide eagerly await the album’s release to experience Stray Kids’ unparalleled artistry once again.
