MEOVV, the first girl group produced by The Black Label, is set to make its official debut this Friday.
The agency announced the group’s debut date on Monday evening through its official social media channels, releasing a teaser trailer for MEOVV's upcoming debut. The trailer features all five members—Ella, Gawon, Sooin, Anna, and Narin—strutting in chic black outfits like models on a runway, eventually walking toward a stage set in an isolated, barren landscape.
The anticipation for MEOVV’s debut has been heightened by the group's partnership with Capitol Records, a well-known label under Universal Music Group. Capitol Records, home to global superstars such as Sam Smith and Katy Perry, is expected to help MEOVV make a significant impact on the international music scene.
The group’s debut is particularly noteworthy as it is produced by Teddy Park, a celebrated figure in the K-pop industry, known for his work with legendary acts like Big Bang and Blackpink.
Each member of MEOVV has been introduced through individual teaser videos, with Ella standing out due to her prior exposure. She gained attention in 2018 when photos of her bearing a striking resemblance to Blackpink’s Jennie went viral among K-pop fans.
