Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has further solidified their reputation as a powerhouse in album sales with the platinum certification of their latest mini-album, The Name Chapter: Sanctuary. On December 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced that TXT's album surpassed 250,000 units in sales, earning the prestigious accolade just one month after its release.

The RIAJ classifies certifications based on cumulative sales, with thresholds set at Gold (100,000 copies), Platinum (250,000), Double Platinum (500,000), Triple Platinum (750,000), and Million (1,000,000). TXT's achievement adds another milestone to their impressive record, which now includes 13 RIAJ-certified albums: six Korean and seven Japanese releases.

TXT first entered Japan's Gold Disc certification list in 2020 with their album Magic Hour. Since then, they have steadily climbed the ranks, earning their first Platinum in 2021 and their first Double Platinum in 2022. Earlier this year, TXT became the only international artist to achieve Triple Platinum in Japan for their Japanese single Chikai, released in July.

Their accomplishments don’t end there. TXT's The Name Chapter: Sanctuary continues to demonstrate strong sales performance. According to Oricon, the album's weekly sales were 1.7 times higher than its predecessor, marking consistent growth. The album also broke TXT’s own record for the highest number of consecutive No. 1 albums by a foreign artist on Oricon’s Weekly Album Chart, with 11 titles.

In addition to their RIAJ certification, TXT made significant strides on Billboard Japan’s 2024 Year-End Charts. They ranked prominently in key categories, including Hot Albums and Top Album Sales. On the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, the group maintained their presence for three consecutive weeks, further proving their global impact.

TXT’s ascent in both the Japanese and international music markets highlights their growing influence as one of K-pop’s most successful acts. Their ability to achieve multiple certifications across regions and consistently outperform previous records reflects their expanding fanbase and musical resonance.

As TXT continues their momentum, their achievements signify not only their individual growth but also the increasing global presence of K-pop as a cultural phenomenon.
