Singer-songwriter Kwon Jin Ah successfully held her first-ever year-end concert “This Winter”, sharing warmth and unforgettable memories with her fans. The concert, which took place over three days from December 13 to 15 at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul’s Songpa District, sold out within three minutes of ticket sales opening. The 150-minute-long performance showcased Kwon Jin Ah’s unshakable live vocals and delicate yet profound emotional delivery, reaffirming her position as a powerhouse in live performances.
Kwon Jin Ah opened the concert with her signature winter song “This Winter”. As the tranquil winter scenery unfolded on a massive LED screen, complete with the sound of footsteps on snow, she appeared through a red gate on stage, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Following this serene introduction, Kwon Jin Ah added a romantic touch with winter-themed arrangements of “You’re Different” and “Love me Love me”.
She continued to captivate the audience with emotional ballads that have resonated with listeners over the years, such as “The Fool Only for the Sincere”, “End”, “Comfort”, and “I Was Lucky”. In a striking transition, she brightened the mood with lively performances of “Pink!” and “KNOCK”, showcasing her cheerful and charming energy. The concert reached its climax as her powerful vocals harmonized with the passionate live band during tracks like “Raise Up The Flag”, “Our Way”, and “Butterfly”.
The event also featured a surprise appearance by Jaesbee, the trending three-member project group consisting of Jaejae, Gabee, and Seunghun. They delighted fans with their debut song “Every Now with You”, which has sparked a dance challenge phenomenon, and joined Kwon Jin Ah for a festive Christmas medley including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town”, and “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. Their vibrant energy filled the venue with joy and laughter.
A particularly memorable moment came when Kwon Jin Ah performed her self-composed track “To Meet You” on acoustic guitar, along with previously unreleased songs like “Don’t Leave Today” and “Love & Hate”. These performances gave fans a glimpse into her upcoming full-length album, set to be released in the first half of next year.
Toward the concert’s conclusion, Kwon Jin Ah expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I want to dedicate my life to making you a little happier. I will continue to deliver messages of comfort and positivity as a singer for a very long time.”
Kwon Jin Ah’s successful debut year-end concert not only demonstrated her exceptional talent as a live performer but also set the stage for what is to come.
