In a move that has electrified the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) scene, Gen.G Esports announced the return of their legendary AD carry, Park Jae Hyuk, known as "Ruler." The team revealed the signing on November 20 through their official social media channels, stating, "Ruler is back as the AD carry for Gen.G LoL. Let’s warmly welcome him home after his long journey."

Ruler, who began his illustrious career with Samsung Galaxy (the predecessor of Gen.G Esports), played for the team until 2022. During his tenure, he cemented his place as one of the greatest AD carries in League of Legends history. In recognition of his contributions, Ruler became the first player in Gen.G’s history to have his jersey number retired.

Following a two-year stint in China’s LPL with JD Gaming, where he achieved significant success, Ruler’s return to Korea had been the subject of intense speculation during the offseason. His homecoming to Gen.G solidifies the team’s ambitions for the upcoming LCK season.

To complement Ruler’s return, Gen.G has also signed rookie support Joo Min Gyu, known as "Delight." Delight, who made his LCK debut during the 2023 Summer split with Fredit BRION, showcased exceptional skill and contributed to his team’s playoff contention. His addition to the roster is expected to create a dynamic bot lane partnership with Ruler.

The team has further strengthened its roster by renewing contracts with top laner Kim Ki In ("Kiin"), jungler Kim Geon Bu ("Canyon"), and mid laner Jeong Ji Hoon ("Chovy"). Ruler and Chovy, two of the LCK’s most renowned carries, have signed long-term contracts with Gen.G, committing to the organization until 2027.

Ruler’s return to Gen.G marks a pivotal moment for the LCK. As one of the most consistent and dominant AD carries in the world, his reunion with the organization brings both experience and skill to a roster already brimming with talent. With the addition of Delight and the retention of star players, Gen.G is positioned as a formidable contender for the 2025 season.

This move also highlights Gen.G’s commitment to building a balanced team that combines seasoned veterans with emerging talents. Ruler’s leadership and synergy with his new teammates are anticipated to play a key role in the team’s pursuit of domestic and international titles.

As Gen.G completes its five-man roster, fans eagerly await the upcoming LCK season, where the reunion of Ruler and his former team promises to deliver thrilling gameplay and the potential for championship glory.
