Shuhua, a member of the popular K-pop group (G)I-dle, is not dating Taiwanese actor Ko Chen-tung, according to her agency, Cube Entertainment, which made the announcement on Thursday. The agency firmly stated that the rumors are "groundless."
The speculation began after Shuhua uploaded a series of pictures on Tuesday, taken while preparing for a TV music chart show appearance. The caption read, "Hey~ I love you," to which Ko Chen-tung responded with a smiling emoji. This interaction, coupled with Shuhua being spotted at Ko's birthday party during her visit to Taiwan last month, fueled the dating rumors.
However, Ko has since deleted his comment on the post, and Cube Entertainment has dismissed the dating speculation. The agency reassured fans and the media that there is no truth to the rumors.
In other news, (G)I-dle is actively promoting their seventh EP, “I Sway.” The mini-album, released earlier this month, has already sold over 1 million copies and topped iTunes album charts in 18 regions.
