Former ENHYPEN member Evan has released previews of two songs from his first EP, “DEATH OF ME.”

Evan shared track samplers for the title song, “Death of Me,” and the B-side “Twilight” through his official social media channels on Aug. 26. He participated in writing and composing both tracks.

“Death of Me” is a pop R&B song about continuing to move forward from a new starting point. Its sampler depicts a speedometer rising rapidly before the instrument panel shatters.

The lyrics include the lines “Can’t stop,” “Even if I stop, this ain’t the death of me” and “Carved into me, a destiny is about to begin.”

“Twilight” is a pop song built around a UK garage rhythm. It compares an intense moment shared with another person to twilight and expresses a desire for that moment not to end. The accompanying video shows the dial of a lock rotating to the beat before the song title appears and the lock opens.

The eight-track EP also contains “Not Enough,” “Noise,” “Ride or Die,” “Immature,” “Overflow” and “Going Home.” Evan contributed lyrics to every track and led the album’s overall production.

Previously released samplers introduced the dream-pop track “Going Home,” the lo-fi guitar-driven pop R&B song “Noise,” the trap-based “Not Enough” and the alternative rock track “Immature.”

Evan debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in 2020 under the stage name Heeseung. He left the group in March and began his solo career under his new name.

He released his debut digital single, “RIDE OR DIE,” on June 22. His first EP, “DEATH OF ME,” is scheduled for release at 6 p.m. KST on Sept. 7.
