T1 Overcomes Gen.G 3:1 to Secure Finals Spot Against BLG

T1 has advanced to the finals, overcoming their longtime rival Gen.G with a 3:1 victory and setting up a showdown with BLG. Known for their strength on the big stage, T1 demonstrated their prowess once again, with standout performances from players like ‘Keria’ and ‘Oner’ shaping the game from the outset.
The game began with T1’s ‘Keria’ on Pyke setting an aggressive tone in the bot lane, forcing Gen.G’s Ashe and Maokai to burn their Flash early. This pressure only intensified when ‘Oner’s’ Skarner executed a successful gank mid, forcing ‘Chovy’s’ Tristana to lose her Flash as well.
T1 maintained control, capitalizing on ‘Faker’s’ Ahri hitting level 6 and coordinating with Skarner to take down ‘Canyon’s’ Nidalee. In a skirmish near the Rift Herald, T1 seized the momentum further, securing kills and steadily growing their lead.
Gen.G, now visibly pressured, attempted to push top lane, but their Maokai was caught out. Meanwhile, Pyke and Skarner roamed freely, pressuring Gen.G across the map. By the 15-minute mark, T1 had built a staggering 5,000 gold lead. Though Gen.G managed to secure the Rift Herald, they paid dearly for it.
Attempting a comeback, Gen.G launched a bold attack top lane, successfully taking down Ahri, but T1’s swift counterattack led to a Baron secure, accelerating their snowball. Gen.G, however, managed to stall T1’s advance at the top tier-two turret, buying some crucial time.
Refusing to give up, Gen.G contested the next dragon and pulled off an impressive teamfight, regaining control and securing Baron to even the gold disparity. A tense mid-lane fight ensued, where Gen.G initially eliminated Ahri, but T1 eventually emerged victorious in the extended skirmish, pressing their advantage all the way to Gen.G’s Nexus to clinch the series 3:1.
With this hard-fought win, T1 moves on to the finals, where they will face off against BLG in a high-stakes battle for the championship title.
