The critically acclaimed musical If/Then is back for its second season, set to captivate audiences once again with its heartfelt narrative and stunning performances. Premiering at the Grand Theater of Hongik University Daehangno Arts Center, the show will run through March 2, 2024.

If/Then follows the story of Elizabeth, a woman searching for answers to life’s complexities. The musical explores themes of choice, fate, love, and life through her two parallel lives, born out of a single decision. Praised for its evocative storytelling and mesmerizing music, the 2022 premiere earned an audience rating of 9.8 and swept five awards at the 8th Korean Musical Awards.

This season brings together a stellar cast featuring returning favorites and new faces. Leading the production are Jung Sun Ah, Kim Ji Hyun, and Lina as Elizabeth, while Lucas is portrayed by Song Won Geun, Park Jung Won, and Choi Seok Jin. Shin Sung Min and Jin Tae Hwa will play Josh, with Choi Hyun Sun and Han Yu Ran as Kate, and Shim Jae Hyun as Stephen. A combination of veteran and fresh talent promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.

The production introduces an imaginative set concept called The Room of Memories. Representing Elizabeth’s inner world, the stage interweaves her choices and recollections, enhanced by cutting-edge video design to heighten realism and engagement. Madison Square Park, a pivotal setting for the story, becomes the central axis where Elizabeth’s memories come to life on stage, creating a visually striking and emotionally resonant atmosphere.

If/Then also invites audience participation through creative initiatives. A No Plastic Zone will operate during the performance period, inspired by Lucas’s environmentally conscious character. Visitors can contribute HDPE plastic caps for upcycling efforts. Those who bring a show ticket and at least 10 caps between December 3 and 29 will receive a limited-edition upcycled keyring. Visitors can also engage in weekly choice-based activities using plastic caps, offering a unique blend of entertainment and environmental awareness.

In addition, a cover contest for the musical’s signature song, Always Starting Over, is underway. Fans are encouraged to share their renditions on social media, further spreading the musical’s message of resilience and renewal.

Promotional discounts are also available for dedicated theatergoers. Audience members who attend other ShowNote productions, including Come From Away, Hedwig, Lizzie, and Tebeland, can enjoy a 20% discount on tickets for If/Then until December 29.

With its innovative stagecraft, talented cast, and meaningful audience engagement, If/Then continues to establish itself as a cultural landmark in South Korea’s musical theater scene. Audiences are invited to rediscover the magic of choice and destiny in this unmissable production.
