HyunA's agency, AT AREA, has announced its intent to pursue legal action in response to the rise of defamatory rumors and malicious comments surrounding the singer ahead of her upcoming wedding to fellow artist Yong Jun-hyung. According to the agency, the spread of baseless accusations has reached a critical level, particularly after the release of the couple's wedding photos.
The agency issued a statement clarifying its stance, stating, "Since the announcement of HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung's marriage, there has been an influx of false and harmful rumors. Despite the singer's previous requests for leniency, the situation has escalated to an intolerable degree, necessitating a firm response."

The agency further emphasized that legal measures have been prepared against personal attacks and the dissemination of misinformation. "In the past, HyunA has asked us to refrain from taking legal action, showing leniency towards those responsible. However, to protect her dignity and well-being, we can no longer remain passive. Moving forward, we will take strict legal action against anyone spreading defamatory or malicious content."
HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung, a former member of the K-pop group BEAST, made their relationship public via Instagram in January 2024. The couple, who have supported each other through difficult times, announced their engagement in July, revealing their plans to marry in October.
AT AREA confirmed that the wedding ceremony will take place privately on October 11 at Samcheonggak in Seoul, attended by close friends and family. The couple has expressed their desire to keep the event intimate, free from public scrutiny.
In the months leading up to the wedding, rumors of a premarital pregnancy circulated, but these claims were firmly denied by HyunA’s agency. Despite the negative attention, the couple remains focused on celebrating their upcoming union and starting a new chapter in their lives.
