K-pop girl group Oh My Girl's leader Hyojung will take on the role of DJ for KBS Cool FM’s radio show, “Volume Up.” WM Entertainment announced on the 13th that Hyojung is set to host the popular program, starting from the 25th, and will greet listeners every evening at 8 p.m.
KBS’s “Volume Up” has been one of the network’s flagship radio programs since its first broadcast in 1995, maintaining its popularity for nearly three decades. Hyojung will be succeeding singer Chungha as the new host, bringing her energetic flair to the show.
In a statement, producer PD Oh Gwi-na expressed high expectations for the new DJ, saying, “Hyojung’s bright energy and appeal across generations will bring fresh vitality to Cool FM.” Hyojung’s cheerful disposition and ability to connect with audiences fit the program.
