YG Entertainment’s newest girl group, BABYMONSTER, is officially launching their first full-length album, DRIP, on November 1 at 1 p.m. KST. The highly anticipated debut features not one, but two title tracks, showcasing the group’s diverse talents and YG’s signature hip-hop-inspired style.

The album’s main title track, DRIP, captures BABYMONSTER’s confident attitude through an EDM-based dance song infused with YG’s distinctive hip-hop vibe. With BIGBANG’s leader and solo artist G-Dragon participating in the composition, DRIP boasts dynamic beats and powerful bass sounds that define the group’s energetic sound. Accompanying DRIP is another title track, CLIK CLAK, which was pre-released with a music video. This track, rooted in original hip-hop, pays homage to YG’s musical DNA and highlights BABYMONSTER’s versatility, with all seven members stepping up to deliver impressive rap performances.

Choreography plays a key role in BABYMONSTER’s debut, designed to match the intensity of their music. DRIP includes powerful body movements synchronized to the beat, along with hand gestures that visually reinforce the song’s theme and an intricate group dance routine. In CLIK CLAK, clever gestures corresponding to the lyrics further showcase the group’s playful approach to performance.

The album spans multiple genres, allowing BABYMONSTER to show off a broad musical range. Tracks like Love, Maybe spotlight their vocal prowess with guitar-driven melodies, while Really Like You brings a nostalgic 90s hip-hop feel. BILLIONAIRE stands out with its Y2K-inspired R&B and heavy 808 bass, capturing a retro yet modern sound. Other songs include the upbeat Love In My Heart, Woke Up In Tokyo featuring Japanese members RUKA and ASA, the pre-released FOREVER, and BATTER UP (Remix) as a fan meeting encore bonus track.

Promotions for DRIP are substantial, reflecting YG’s commitment to a grand debut. In addition to music videos for both title tracks, the follow-up track Love In My Heart will also feature a live stage performance. BABYMONSTER will appear across various platforms, including radio, variety shows, and YouTube, ensuring fans have plenty of opportunities to engage with the new group.

BABYMONSTER’s debut with DRIP is expected to make waves as they bring a fresh energy to K-pop with a polished blend of hip-hop, EDM, and pop-rock, setting the stage for a promising career under YG Entertainment.
