SEOUL — K-pop girl group aespa is set to release a brand-new single titled "Dirty Work" on June 27, SM Entertainment announced Thursday. The track will be unveiled in both Korean and English versions simultaneously.
During a recent livestream, member Karina teased fans with a hint about the group’s upcoming sound, saying, “If you liked aespa’s ‘metallic’ sounds, you’re going to love this one.”
"Dirty Work" marks aespa’s first release in eight months, following their hit album Whiplash, which dropped in October 2024. An English version of Whiplash arrived this March, accompanied by a remix from world-renowned DJ and producer Steve Aoki.
The group dominated charts last year with a string of hits, including Armageddon, Supernova, and Whiplash, all released in 2024. Their return this June has been highly anticipated by fans worldwide.
Earlier this year, aespa was honored as Group of the Year at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards, recognized for expanding their global reach through the Armageddon world tour, which kicked off in May 2024.
