Lee Chaeyeon, formerly of IZ*One, held a media showcase in Seoul on Wednesday to unveil her third solo EP, "Showdown."
The mini album marks her return after about 10 months since her first single, "The Move: Street," and focuses on expressing herself through its tracks. She actively participated in writing lyrics and choreographing the main track "Don't," which explores the complexities of a breakup.
"I didn't initially plan to contribute to the choreography and songwriting, but I became ambitious," Lee confided, emphasizing her desire for the song to have a greater impact. She chose "Don't" as the lead track because she envisioned herself performing it confidently on stage.
Lee embarked on her solo career in October 2022 with her debut EP "Hush Rush," approximately a year and a half after the disbandment of the group IZ*One.
