JYP Entertainment has been named the third-best sustainable growth company worldwide in the 2025 World’s Best Companies for Sustainable Growth, a ranking released by TIME magazine and German market analysis firm Statista. With a score of 93.66, JYP stood out among leading global corporations and claimed the top spot among Korean companies. Notably, it is the only Asian company to make it into the top 10.
The ranking evaluates 500 companies worldwide based on their ability to maintain robust financial stability while excelling in sustainable development. Key metrics include revenue growth, financial security, and environmental impact, with each factor carrying equal weight toward a 100-point total score.
Statista highlighted JYP’s strong performance across all criteria, praising the company's exceptional revenue growth, financial soundness, and commitment to sustainability. “JYP Entertainment ranks among the top 5% globally in terms of low carbon emissions and demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to renewable energy usage,” stated Statista. “Achieving such balanced success across multiple dimensions is a rarity.”
JYP has also garnered recognition for its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. In 2023, the company earned the highest ESG rating of “AA” among Korean entertainment companies in Morgan Stanley Capital International’s (MSCI) evaluation. In 2022, JYP became the first Korean entertainment company to publish a comprehensive sustainability report, documenting its efforts and activities aimed at building a more sustainable future.
JYP CEO Jung Wook emphasized the company’s ongoing dedication to creating positive societal impact. “JYP consistently undertakes initiatives that contribute to a better society. Our third sustainability report reflects our achievements and commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders in creating a sustainable world,” Jung stated.
In addition to its business operations, JYP is active in community outreach under its vision, "Every Dream Matters" (EDM). The company supports children’s aspirations and promotes healthy living environments. Most recently, JYP organized an amateur charity basketball tournament, with all entry fees donated to fund medical treatment for underprivileged children.
JYP Entertainment's recognition in the TIME rankings underscores its position as a global leader in sustainability, blending financial success with environmental and social responsibility. As the entertainment industry increasingly embraces ESG principles, JYP’s efforts set a benchmark for future corporate practices worldwide.
