Samsung Electronics and Krafton have announced a significant collaboration to optimize the highly anticipated game "Dark and Darker Mobile" for Samsung's latest Galaxy series. The announcement, made on Tuesday, highlights a range of enhancements aimed at delivering a superior gaming experience on the upcoming Galaxy devices.
The partnership integrates advanced 3D graphics technology, Vulkan, into "Dark and Darker Mobile," significantly improving visual realism and incorporating Dolby Atmos sound effects for an immersive audio experience. Key models, including the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, will feature Ray Tracing technology, which provides lifelike graphics and enhances user immersion.
The Galaxy Z Fold6's app continuity feature ensures an uninterrupted gaming experience by allowing a seamless transition from the cover screen to the main display. This feature is expected to enhance the gaming experience, replicating the feel of a console game on a mobile device.
Ahn Joon-seok, executive producer of "Dark and Darker Mobile," emphasized the development team's commitment to optimizing the game for the Galaxy Z Fold6. “We have worked extensively to replicate the console gaming experience on the latest Galaxy smartphones, ensuring that users enjoy a high-quality, immersive experience right in the palm of their hands,” said Ahn.
Kim Jung-woo from Samsung Electronics’ System Platform R&D Group of the Mobile eXperience Business highlighted the significance of the collaboration. “This partnership with Krafton is set to provide Galaxy smartphone users with a deeper, more immersive gaming experience. We are dedicated to continuing our efforts to deliver an optimized gaming environment through ongoing technical collaboration,” Kim stated.
The global beta test for "Dark and Darker Mobile" is scheduled to begin on August 1. For those interested in hands-on trials, the game is currently available at the Galaxy Experience Space in Seoul. Samsung plans to expand this opportunity to seven other cities worldwide, including Paris and New York.
