Karina, a member of the popular K-pop girl group aespa, was notably absent from the group's concert in Osaka, Japan, on Sunday. SM Entertainment, the group's agency, informed fans of her absence, citing health concerns. The decision for Karina to sit out the performance was made following a pre-show rehearsal, part of the group's ongoing "Synk: Parallel Line" tour.
During the concert, fellow member Giselle addressed the situation, expressing that Karina was feeling unwell and requested fans to send their well-wishes for her swift recovery.
Aespa commenced their tour in Seoul late last month and will continue in Fukuoka with shows scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. The tour is planned to extend to six additional cities in Asia and two in Australia, running through to September.
This marks the third health-related absence within the group in recent months, with Winter having missed a performance in May and NingNing in June. These incidents have sparked concerns among fans regarding the members' well-being, highlighting the rigorous demands of their touring schedule.
