World-renowned pianist Kun-Woo Paik, often referred to as the "Seeker on the Keyboard," will grace the stage at Sejong Cultural and Arts Center on November 20. This recital marks a rare opportunity for audiences in Sejong to witness the 78-year-old maestro perform in their city, offering a program filled with classical masterpieces.
According to the Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, Paik will perform a selection of works by Mozart, including Fantasia in D Minor (K.397), Andante in F Major (K.616), Gigue in G Major (K.574), and Fugue in C Major (K.394). Known for his meticulous and spiritual approach to the piano, Paik has established himself as one of Korea's first-generation pianists, with a career spanning 68 years. His achievements include recognition at prestigious international competitions such as the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition.
Despite his advanced age, Paik continues to challenge himself, dedicating hours each day to practice and studying new repertoire. This relentless pursuit of musical excellence has earned him the nickname "Seeker on the Keyboard."
Tickets for the recital are priced at 50,000 KRW for R seats and 40,000 KRW for S seats and are available through the Sejong Cultural and Arts Center’s website or Interpark Ticket. Sejong youth can receive a 10,000 KRW discount on all seats.
