Jin of BTS has once again demonstrated his global influence, achieving No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart with his latest drama OST, "Close to You." According to Billboard's February 8 chart update, the song also entered the Digital Song Sales chart at No. 9, solidifying Jin’s standing as a powerhouse in both K-pop and OST markets.

The track, which serves as the official soundtrack for the tvN drama "Ask the Stars" (별들에게 물어봐), has also made waves in the UK Official Charts. "Close to You" debuted at No. 20 on the Singles Downloads chart and No. 22 on the Singles Sales chart, further highlighting its popularity among international audiences.

Jin’s distinctive, crystal-clear vocals and delicate emotional delivery are at the heart of the song’s appeal. Lyrically, "Close to You" portrays a journey through the vastness of space and time, symbolizing an endless pursuit of love. The song’s ethereal composition and Jin’s emotive performance have resonated deeply with listeners, particularly within the drama’s romantic narrative.

Beyond his OST success, Jin’s solo album "Happiness", released in November 2023, continues to chart. The album recently ranked No. 15 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, while its title track, "Running Wild," placed No. 129 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Other BTS members are also making an impact as solo artists. Jimin’s second solo album "MUSE" debuted at No. 115 on the Billboard 200, with its title track "Who" reaching No. 31 on the Hot 100. Meanwhile, Jungkook’s hit "Seven" remains on the Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 65 and on the Global 200 at No. 96, marking an unprecedented 81-week and 80-week run, respectively—the longest streak for any K-pop soloist.

Additionally, V’s single "Winter Ahead" secured No. 165 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, continuing his streak as a solo artist. Meanwhile, BTS’s anthology album "Proof" remains at No. 6 on the World Albums chart, marking its 138th consecutive week on the rankings.

With "Close to You" dominating global music charts, Jin has once again proven the unwavering popularity of BTS members as solo artists. As their projects continue to receive international acclaim, BTS’s global presence remains stronger than ever.
