Former LOONA member Yves is marking a major milestone in her solo career with the release of her second EP, I Did, on November 14 at 6 PM (KST) across various music platforms. This new EP comes as she prepares for her first-ever European tour, the 2024 Yves Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour in Europe, set to begin in December.

Debuting in 2018 as part of LOONA, Yves has been building a distinctive voice in K-pop, with I Did serving as a profound reflection on her inner journey. In her first EP, LOOP, she explored her quest for peace, and now with I Did, Yves delves into the emotions encountered on that journey. The album, comprising five tracks, including the title track “Viola” alongside “Hashtag,” “Gone Girl,” “Tik Tok,” and “DIM,” offers a glimpse into her complex inner world.

To promote I Did, Yves has been releasing concept photos that incorporate highlights from each track, generating anticipation for the release. The EP has been produced with the collaboration of MILLIC and IOAH, leading figures at her agency Pikesperml, raising the overall quality of the project.

The title track “Viola” is a hyperpop song characterized by ethereal, layered sounds that blend seamlessly with Yves’s sophisticated vocal style. This track tells the story of her descent into her subconscious as she confronts multiple aspects of herself in a search for inner peace. The music video for “Viola” is equally captivating, featuring Yves navigating between digital and real worlds. Its cybernetic visuals reflect the song's dreamlike atmosphere, offering fans an immersive experience through Yves’s unique performance.

Yves's journey as a solo artist has already gained significant recognition. Her debut EP, LOOP, topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 11 regions worldwide and was named one of Billboard’s “Best K-pop Albums of the First Half of 2024.” This acclaim has earned her the title “Solo of the Year” in the industry.

With the release of I Did, Yves is ready to take her career to the next level with expanded global activities. Beginning in Berlin on December 4, she will embark on her first European tour, performing in cities including Warsaw, London, Paris, and Milan. This tour marks an exciting chapter for Yves, who is set to connect with her international fanbase more closely.

Through her music and upcoming tour, Yves is demonstrating her artistic versatility and commitment to personal and musical growth. Her latest album, I Did, not only offers insight into her inner world but also sets the stage for her to establish a strong presence in the global music industry.
