Junghan and Wonwoo of the K-pop group Seventeen will debut as a new subunit with the single “This Man-The City” on June 17, Pledis Entertainment announced on Monday.
The announcement was made through a video depicting a city at night, which then goes black following a lightning strike.
Junghan, a member of Seventeen's vocal team, and Wonwoo, from the hip-hop team, form an unexpected pairing. Wonwoo previously collaborated with Mingyu on the digital single “Bittersweet (feat. Lee Hi)” in 2021, which reached the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart in nine regions.
Additionally, Seventeen held a two-day concert in Osaka last weekend, attracting 110,000 attendees. This concert is part of the group's first stadium tour in Japan, which will continue this weekend at Kanagawa Nissan Stadium, the largest concert venue in the country.
