Oleksandr Bogomazov's "Tunning Saw"
70 pieces of modern paintings representing Ukraine are on display in Spain, which is 3,000 km away from the fires of war.
According to the Guardian, on the 15th, two trucks carrying 51 pieces of Ukrainian modern art secretly escaped from Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. At this time, Russia was on the verge of bombarding major cities such as Kiev.
The truck arrived safely in Madrid, the capital of Spain, where the exhibition was scheduled, after completing a long journey of 3,000 km across the European continent over five days.
These works arrived at the National Thyssen-Bornemissa Museum in Spain. These works will be exhibited here until April next year.
The title of the exhibition is 'Into the Eyes of the Storm: Ukrainian Modernism 1900~1930'. This exhibition was an opportunity to protect Ukrainian art from war and to promote the excellence of its work to the world.
The works to be exhibited include oil paintings, sketches, and collages by Ukraine's leading avant-garde painters, including Oleksandr Bogomazov, Vasil Yermilou, Victoro Palmou, and Anatole Getritsky.
