IU, the renowned K-pop artist, made a remarkable debut atop the Melon music chart, Korea's largest music chart, with her latest single, "Love Wins All." Released on Wednesday, the ballad secured the top spot, marking a historic achievement as the first for a K-pop female singer since the chart underwent a reshuffling in 2021. The dominance of "Love Wins All" extends beyond domestic charts, as it has also claimed the pinnacle position on the iTunes top songs chart in 23 regions, according to statements from IU's agency, Edam Entertainment, on Thursday.

This ballad represents IU's first new release in over two years and serves as a prerelease from her upcoming EP. The accompanying music video, featuring V of BTS, has garnered significant attention, amassing over 17 million views on YouTube since its release.

IU is set to embark on the "H.E.R." tour, commencing in Seoul on March 2. The global tour is slated to take her to 18 cities across the world, with performances scheduled through August. This tour announcement adds another dimension to IU's recent success, highlighting her enduring influence in the K-pop and international music scenes.
