South Korean K-pop artist G-Dragon, 35, revealed plans on Monday to donate 300 million won ($230,237) towards the establishment of an anti-drug foundation scheduled for next year. The foundation, named "JusPeace Foundation," is created with the intention of fostering justice and peace.

G-Dragon, associated with Galaxy Corporation, is directing the donation in the name of the now-disbanded group Big Bang's fan community, VIP. According to Cho Sung-hae, the Chief ESG Officer of Galaxy Corporation, the foundation's primary objective is to contribute to building a society devoid of prejudice through the medium of music. The initial focus of the foundation will be on combating illegal drug use and providing medical assistance to teenagers grappling with drug addiction.
G-Dragon's commitment extends to raising awareness about drug-related issues and advocating for sustained efforts to eliminate drug abuse. Galaxy Corporation stated that the artist is engaging with experts spanning healthcare, public policy, administration, welfare, and cultural sectors, with plans to form an advisory committee for the foundation.
In addition to his philanthropic endeavors, G-Dragon is gearing up for the release of a new album in the first half of the upcoming year.
