Jimin, a member of the globally renowned group BTS, has achieved platinum status in the United States with his solo single "Like Crazy." The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed the certification on Saturday, recognizing the track from Jimin's first solo album, "Face," for surpassing 1 million units in sales.

The song "Like Crazy" met the platinum qualifications in August, but the official certification was delayed by three months due to a lapse in meeting the necessary requirements within the designated timeframe, prompting concerns from Jimin's fanbase.

Jimin made history as the first K-pop solo artist to claim the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 when "Like Crazy" debuted at the pinnacle of the chart in April. The success extended to the album "Face," which achieved over 1 million copies in sales on the day of its release, making it the first K-pop solo album to achieve this milestone. Furthermore, "Face" secured a position on the year-end Billboard 200 albums chart, claiming No. 193—a notable accomplishment for a K-pop solo act.
