Introduced through the "NCT Universe: Lastart" competition show, which aired last year, K-pop artist BoA played a pivotal role in producing the new group, overseeing both their music and performances. NCT Wish comprises the latest addition to the diverse NCT subunits, which include NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV.
The group debuted with their single "Wish," characterized by a mid-tempo dance genre, featuring an energetic melody complemented by mellow vocals. Notably, the rookies performed their debut single for the first time at the "SMTown Live" concert held at the Tokyo Dome.
While NCT Wish is based in Japan, their promotional reach extends to Korea, aligning with the group's international aspirations. Prior to their official debut, the group embarked on a tour in Japan last year, conducting 24 shows in seven different cities, connecting with fans across the country.
The debut single "Wish" is slated for online release on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m., with the physical album set to hit shelves on March 4.
